My Bio
Artist, Writer, Professional College Student, Peer Tutor, Adjunct Instructor
As far as an Artist, I work in a variety of mediums.
Mostly on paper with watercolor pencils and have been for the past half dozen years now. I've used the pencils dry as if they were just regular colored pencils and with water as if they were little watercolor brushes for a nice effect. I have sketched with pencils ever since I was small and I seem to be able to do some fine details even at a small level at times. Besides pencils, I have worked with ink and marker, acrylic and watercolor paints, and even pastels. But, I mainly stick with my favorite.
As for the subjects involved, I tend to do characters for the most part. Scenery is rare but if the more recent works are any indication I have equal talent in characters as well as scenery.
As far as a Writer, I generally write fantasy.
As far as the fantasy genre goes, swords and magic as well as The Quest are very prevalent. The Quest can be whatever, really and varies, but that's true for most things, right? Same with the characters. Generally I draw from these stories so many of the pieces of art I work on are in some way related to this. Anime and maybe video games have had a little bit of an influence on the way I write including things like special attacks in some stories.
Length-wise, I tend to write books it seems. I have four stories that are in some form or fashion the length of a book, especially if the paper size is reduced to that of those small paper backs, however they are in dire need of revision before I even dare to release them as actual books. I wonder who would actually read them as the content can be a bit, well... out there at times.
Otherwise, I am a bit varied. But is that not true for most?
Otherwise, I am very much interested in computers, especially programming. I seem to be a sponge -- able to easily absorb knowledge and apply it in odd, sometimes crazy ways to solve a task, such as reducing 80 or so lines or repetitious code into five or six. I am pretty good in most of the languages used by Microsoft Visual Studio like VB.NET and C#.NET as well as decent at Java. I am good with HTML, CSS and Javascript, but I will not profess to be a pro.

I've been experimenting here recently after I found out how well my new process with watercolor translates into ink and now I've added markers to that. What I mean is that I'm pretty much watercolor painting with watercolor pencils, graphite pencils, ink pens, markers, or any combination of the four. And that just seems weird. Ah well, I'm weird. As an example of what I'm talking about as far as things go... From left to right, watercolor pencils, ink pen, combination of both, and both with markers. :thumb443523806: :thumb488169115: :thumb488164602: :thumb488167909: My process seems to be this: Draw the basic stuff. Sketch, whatever nece

Hello again, It has been a while since I've added things here. I have some catching up to do on my scanning before I can really add much more. Despite how quiet I have been on adding my work, I have still been drawing up a storm. :thumb443020779: ["Anne"] WIP I've been tinkering with my style a little bit and that is one of the results. Never would have thought working from light to dark grey would work so great with watercolor pencils with water. I have a few other nice ones I've done in this style I will upload once I have them scanned in all proper like.

It seems I'm in the odd mood to actually go back to some of my works I did in just pencil and coloring them in rather well on the computer. What I'm talking about are pretties such as the Avalon Tuner final forms which I drew back in 2011 and just got around to taking the digital spectrum of ink to it. Honestly, I think I've been doing this all day. ☆Avalon Tuner ~Nymph Final Form~☆ Digitally Colored :thumb373067179: Pencil Sketch :thumb286
